In the end, the way we got over any potential hazard was to schedule lunch time for the cats whilst we moved all the heaviest items through the hallway - so the cats were preoccupied and out of the way sitting outside eating their meal. As for Kendrick, he just wanted to help and contributed by retrieving all the plastic bones from the depths of the back garden before we bid our old home one final goodbye!
